Tiger skeet team wins conference title

The Tiger Skeet Team won the Class 1A conference 1 title in its first ever season.  Tiger head coach Nathan Davis said “I knew they would do well, but these kids excelled beyond any expectations for this year.”  “We entered a skeet team for the first time within the MN State High School Clay Target League as a trial run….and they certainly ran with it!  Springfield Sportsman Club has a top of the line skeet range to offer and we wanted to take advantage of these facilities in the hopes that gains even a greater attention to our club and team,” he added.

The Tigers had three shooters in the top ten for the year:  Carter Asmus 4th, Wyatt Schmidt 9th and Erik Davis 10th.  There were 30 teams in Class 1A for the State this season.  Springfield ended the season in second place overall in the ENTIRE Class 1A with 1,317 points, falling just behind Northfield with a total season score of 1,325.50.
