River Valley Tennis has a busy week
The hardworking River Valley Tennis team had an incredibly busy week beginning on Saturday, September 6 with the New Ulm Eagle Invite, followed by the team hosting Redwood Valley on Monday the 8, traveling to St. James for a meet on Tuesday, and finishing the week on the road as they took on Fairmont.
“It was a tough and busy week for us with a lot of tennis played against some of the top teams in the section,” stated Head Coach Brandon Andrews.

Tiger volleyball continues to grow
Springfield Tiger volleyball played at home this week, hosting Buffalo-Lake-Hector-Stewart (BLHS) and Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s (SESM), both high ranked teams in the conference.

Springfield wins over Tracy-Milroy Balaton
The Springfield Tigers had a nice win Friday night, rolling past Tracy-Milroy-Balaton for a 68–18 victory.
S-CM Cross Country
S-CM Cross Country runs at Maple River
The Springfield/Cedar Mountain Cross Country team traveled to Maple River High School for an invitational last Thursday, September 11.
Teams participating were Blue Earth Area, Jackson County Central, Maple River, Medford, Minnesota Valley Lutheran, United South Central, Watertown-Elysian-Morristown and Springfield/Cedar Mountain.
The S-CM girls finished in first place with a 38 and the boys took third place with a 64 in the 5,000 meter race.
